Martin's sculptural designs create atmosphere and emotion through his celebration of the artisanal qualities of the handmade, the beauty of simple line and texture, and the power of the maker's unique mark.
The design is inspired by an antique chain, where time and history have re-arranged the once orderly pattern of links. Martin has heightened this asymmetry in his sculpture, creating a new relationship of open spaces and dynamic form.
Time is embedded in the organic texture of each link, and in the irregular horizontal relationship between pieces as they overreach to the left and right, anchored by a pattern of slender verticals.

Each Lamp is made to order and hand finished at our studio in Sussex. Available in white plaster, gold, light bronze and dark bronze.
