A tall statement lamp, Origin brings elemental texture and exciting contrasts, as smooth architectural forms are disrupted by naturally textured shapes.
Working initially in plaster, Martin uses this traditional material to build and refine the final form.
Architectural angular cuboid shapes frame the repeated circular centres, but it is the natural texture of the organic curved edge which provides the exciting tension in the design.
The leading organic edge of the sculpture is a graphic assertion of the natural, as the projecting curve of rough texture breaks free from the stacked geometry of the main body of the Origin lamp.

Each Lamp is hand made to order at our studio in Sussex. Available in white plaster, light bronze and dark bronze.
